The White Sox scored 741 runs and yielded 645 runs. Paul Konerko walloped 40 home runs for Chicago, while Juan Uribe, Carl Everett, Tadahito Iguchi, Joe Crede, A. J. Pierzynski and Jermaine Dye each swatted 20 or more also. Paul Konerko drove in 100 runs. Scott Podsednik paced all regular hitters by hitting .290. Jon Garland topped the team with 18 wins, plus Mark Buehrle and Jose Contreras added 15 or more wins, too Mark Buehrle recorded a 3.12 ERA, best among regularly-used pitchers.

Ozzie Guillen coached the team. The 2005 Chicago White Sox won the World Series.
