The Twins plated 786 runs and yielded 806 runs. Kent Hrbek walloped 34 home runs for Minnesota, while Tim Laudner, Kirby Puckett, Tom Brunansky and Gary Gaetti each swatted 20 or more also. Gary Gaetti drove in 109 runs. Kirby Puckett led all regular batters by hitting .332. Frank Viola topped the team with 17 wins, and Bert Blyleven added 15 or more wins, too Frank Viola recorded a 2.90 ERA, tops among regularly-used pitchers.

Tom Kelly coached the team. The 1987 Minnesota Twins won the World Series.
