Al Simmons drove in 128 runs and topped all regular batters with a .390 average. Lefty Grove recorded 31 wins on the mound for the squad, and Rube Walberg, George Earnshaw and Roy Mahaffey each added 15 or more victories also Lefty Grove recorded a 2.06 ERA, leading regularly-used pitchers.

Connie Mack coached the team. The 1931 Philadelphia Athletics won the League Championship Series.
