Ned Hanlon compiled a record of 1313 wins and 1164 losses in his coaching career with the Pittsburg Alleghenys, Pittsburgh Burghers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles, Brooklyn Superbas and Cincinnati Reds. He began coaching during the 1889 season and last coached during the 1907 campaign.
