Ned Hanlon compiled a record of 1313 wins and 1164 losses in his managing career with the Pittsburg Alleghenys, Pittsburgh Burghers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles, Brooklyn Superbas and Cincinnati Reds. He began managing during the 1889 season and last managed during the 1907 campaign. Hanlon was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1996.
