Cecil Cooper compiled a career batting average of .298 with 241 home runs and 1125 RBI in his 1896-game career with the Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers. He began playing during the September 8, 1971 season and last took the field during the July 12, 1987 campaign. Cooper was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1993.
