Mort Cooper compiled a career record of 128 wins and 75 losses in his 296-game career with the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Braves, New York Giants and Chicago Cubs. He began playing during the September 14, 1938 season and last took the field during the May 7, 1949 campaign. Cooper was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1956.
