Walker Cooper compiled a career batting average of .285 with 173 home runs and 812 RBI in his 1473-game career with the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Giants, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Braves, Milwaukee Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs. He began playing during the September 25, 1940 season and last took the field during the September 20, 1957 campaign. Cooper was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1968.
