Arky Vaughan compiled a career batting average of .318 with 96 home runs and 926 RBI in his 1817-game career with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Brooklyn Dodgers. He began playing during the April 17, 1932 season and last took the field during the September 22, 1948 campaign. Vaughan was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1953.
