The Stampeders moved the ball well, scoring 608 points, while the defensive squad yielded 365. Jeff Garcia triggered the aerial attack, slinging for 4,225 yards. Allen Pitts grabbed 86 receptions for 1,309 yards. Dave Sapunjis and Terry Vaughn provided receiving help, too.

Kelvin Anderson carried the pigskin for a team-high 1,068 yards for Calgary.

The opportunistic defense manufactured 63 turnovers. Al Jordan seized 8 opponent throws. Rodney Harding topped pass rushers with 10 quarterback sacks, topping a defense credited with 46 sacks.

Wally Buono coached the team. The 1996 Calgary Stampeders lost in the Division Final.
