The Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League ended the 1984 season with a record of 6 wins and 9 losses and 1 ties for 13 points, finishing fourth in the CFL's West Division.

The Roughriders netted 348 points, but the wobbly defensive unit gave up 479. Joe Paopao triggered the aerial attack, passing for 3,270 yards. Craig Ellis hauled in 91 receptions, while Chris DeFrance contributed 917 receiving yards, while Ray Elgaard provided receiving help, too.

Craig Ellis ran for a team-high 690 yards for Saskatchewan.

The opportunistic defense manufactured 65 turnovers. Terry Irvin picked off 11 errant tosses from the opposition. Jeff Roberts topped the defensive unit with 13 quarterback sacks.

Reuben Berry coached the team.
