The Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League ended the 1997 season with a record of 8 wins and 10 losses for 16 points, finishing third in the CFL's West Division. The team compiled a postseason mark of 2-1.

Saskatchewan labored to change the scoreboard with just 413 points, while the defensive squad gave up 479. Reggie Slack passed for 2,423 yards, and Kevin Mason spent time under center, too. Don Narcisse led the receiving corps, hauling in 64 receptions, while Dan Farthing contributed 959 receiving yards.

Mike Saunders ran for a team-high 586 yards for the Roughriders, and Robert Mimbs also contributed to the rushing attack.

Bryce Bevill picked off 4 errant tosses from the opposition. Bobby Jurasin and Troy Alexander each topped the defensive unit with 10 quarterback sacks.

Jim Daley coached the team. The 1997 Saskatchewan Roughriders lost in the Grey Cup.
