Calvin Johnson topped the receiving corps, hauling in 96 balls for 1,681 yards. Brandon Pettigrew and Nate Burleson contributed to the receiving game as well.

Jahvid Best rushed for a team-leading 390 yards for Detroit, while Maurice Morris and Kevin Smith also buoyed the ground attack.

The opportunistic defense pounced on 34 turnovers. Chris Houston intercepted 5 opponent throws. Cliff Avril led the defensive unit with 11 quarterback sacks, leading the way for a team which created 41 sacks.

Jim Schwartz coached the team. The 2011 Detroit Lions lost in the Wild Card.
