The larcenous defense led the way with 39 turnovers. Dale Carter picked off 7 opponent throws. Neil Smith and Derrick Thomas each topped the defensive unit with 14.5 quarterback sacks, helping propel the defense to an overall total of 49 sacks.

Marty Schottenheimer coached the team. The 1992 Kansas City Chiefs lost in the Wild Card.
