Defensively, the Steelers paced the league with just 232 points allowed. Pittsburgh chalked up 375 points. Ben Roethlisberger led the charge, slinging for 3,200 yards. Mike Wallace grabbed 60 passes for 1,257 yards, while Hines Ward contributed to the receiving game, too.
Rashard Mendenhall carried the ball for a team-best 1,273 yards.
The opportunistic defense created 35 turnovers. Troy Polamalu intercepted 7 opponent throws. James Harrison topped the defensive unit with 10.5 quarterback sacks, helping propel the defense to an overall total of 48 sacks.
