The opportunistic defense created 63 turnovers, topping in the league. Kenny Easley picked off 10 errant tosses from the opposition. Jeff Bryant topped the defensive unit with 14.5 quarterback sacks, part of an overall team total of 55 sacks.

Chuck Knox coached the team. The 1984 Seattle Seahawks lost in the Division Playoff.
