Denis Savard contributed 87 assists. Tony Esposito topped the squad with 19 wins, and Murray Bannerman registered a 4.17 goals against average, pacing goalies with significant playing time.

Keith Magnuson and Bob Pulford coached the team. The 1981-82 Chicago Black Hawks lost in the NHL conference finals.
