Jim Bishop compiled a record of 41 wins and 47 losses in his coaching career with the Toronto Tomahawks and Montreal Quebecois. He began coaching during the 1974 season and last coached during the 1975 campaign. Bishop was elected to the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1969.
